Volcano Aluminum Heater Block 20×20×11.5mm – M6 for 3D Printer

The Volcano-Block is an aluminum heater block designed for Volcano-style hotends on FDM 3D printers, enabling higher volumetric flow rates and faster printing of large parts. Its enlarged melt zone compared with standard V6 blocks allows the extruder to push more filament per second, producing thicker layers and stronger inter-layer bonding without sacrificing print quality. The block measures 20 × 20 × 11.5mm and features an M6 threaded hole for Volcano-length nozzles, making it compatible with V6 Bowden and direct J-head extruder setups.

The body is machined from high-quality aluminum alloy, which provides good thermal conductivity for uniform heat distribution across the block and stable temperature at the nozzle. This helps reduce common issues such as nozzle clogging and poor layer adhesion. A side bore accommodates a standard 6mm-diameter heater cartridge, and a separate bore accepts a 3mm-diameter thermistor or PT100 sensor cartridge. The maximum working temperature is rated at 280°C, which covers common filaments including PLA, ABS, PETG, and TPU. The block is a drop-in replacement for Volcano heater blocks and is suitable for rapid prototyping, engineering sample production, and mechanical part fabrication where high material throughput is required.
