The VGA-HDMI converter is an active adapter designed to bridge analog VGA output from computers, laptops, and other legacy devices to digital HDMI displays such as TVs, monitors, and projectors. It accepts a VGA input signal up to 1920×1080 and delivers an HDMI output at up to 1080p, ensuring clear and stable video transmission for presentations, video streaming, gaming, and general content sharing.

Unlike passive cables, this VGA to HDMI converter features a built-in active VGA-to-HDMI chipset that handles the analog-to-digital conversion, which is why it requires external power. A Micro USB cable must be connected to a 5V power source (a computer USB port rated at 5V/2A or a 5V/1A power adapter) for the converter to operate correctly.
