The SW-18010P vibration sensor module is built around a spring-type, omnidirectional vibration switch that triggers on movement or shock from any angle. When an external force causes the internal spring to move, it makes contact with the metal housing and closes the circuit, passing a signal through. The module uses an onboard LM393 voltage comparator to convert the sensor's switching signal into a clean digital output. When vibration exceeds the set threshold, the digital output goes low; otherwise, it stays high. The threshold level is adjustable via the onboard potentiometer.
This vibration sensor module operates on a wide supply voltage range of 3.3V to 5V, making it compatible with most common microcontrollers including Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. It features a digital switching output (0 and 1) and includes an onboard indicator LED that lights up when vibration is detected. The SW-18010P sensor itself is a normally-open type, meaning the two contact pins are disconnected in idle condition and close only when vibration or movement is applied. Once the force is removed, the contacts return to their open state. This compact shock sensor module is widely used in anti-theft alarm systems, smart home devices, electronic toys, and industrial vibration monitoring applications.
