Description:
This is PICkit3 development tools that have built-in drivers for high-speed USB communication.
PICkit3 is an online development and download development tool designed by Microchip for beginners to learn, evaluate, and develop PIC MCUs. PICkit 3.5 In-Circuit Debugger/Programmer is compatible with Microchip uses in-circuit debugging logic incorporated into each chip with Flash memory to provide a low-cost hardware debugger and programmer. The PICkit3.5 allows debugging and programming of PIC and dsPIC Flash microcontrollers using the powerful graphical user interface of the MPLAB Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
PICkit3.5 includes the advantages of more stable simulation, more models, and faster than PICkit2. It can support PIC16 PIC18 PIC24 DSPIC and other MCU simulation and download.

How to use the software:
Connect PICkit 3 to the ICSP connector and start the application.
Now from the Device Family tab select the PIC18 and choose the Device from the dropdown menu.
Load the hex file by going File->Import Hex.
Then Use the Write button to burn the code to the PIC microcontroller.

Status of the PICkit3 LED:
Power:
Green, lights when power is on or connected to the target board.
Active:
Blue, lit when PICkit 3 has established communication with the PC or sent/received a command.
Status:
Green, on when the debugger is operating normally (standby).
Yellow, lights up when the operation is busy.
Red, lit when debugger fails.

Note:
Because the PIC's ICSP interface has only one row of 6PIN connectors, when you are going to connect the PICkit3 to the PIC target board, you should pay attention to the left and right direction of the connection.
In order to avoid burning the PICkit3 downloader, Do not insert it backward.
