Description:
The HC-42 bluetooth serial communication module is a new revison of digital transmission module based on the Bluetooth V5.0 protocol, based on the NRF52832 chip. BLE stands for Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE, and marketed as Bluetooth Smart). BLE is a form of wireless communication designed especially for short-range communication. BLE is very similar to Wi-Fi in the sense that it allows devices to communicate with each other.
When talking about Bluetooth Low Energy vs. Bluetooth, the key difference is in low power consumption. Just like Bluetooth, BLE operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band. Unlike classic Bluetooth, however, BLE remains in sleep mode constantly except for when a connection is initiated. The working frequency band of this module is 2.4GHz ISM and the modulation method is GFSK. The module's maximum transmit power is 4dBm and the receiving sensitivity is -96dBm.
