MS5837-02BA Waterproof Digital Pressure and Temperature Sensor Module

The MS5837-02BA is an ultra-compact, gel-filled digital pressure and temperature sensor module designed for water-resistant depth measurement and altimetry applications. It integrates a high-linearity MEMS pressure sensor with a 24-bit ΔΣ ADC, providing precise digital pressure and temperature values over an I2C interface. The sensor operates from a supply voltage of 1.5V to 3.6V and draws only 0.6µA in active mode with standby current below 0.1µA at 25°C, making it well suited to battery-powered and portable devices. Its pressure range covers 300 to 1200 mbar (approximately 0 to 2 bar), with pressure accuracy down to ±0.5 mbar and temperature accuracy of ±2°C. The gel protection and antimagnetic stainless steel cap, together with a 1.8 × 0.8 mm O-ring sealing design, allow the module to operate reliably in wet environments, including water-depth measurement systems.

The sensor requires no external components thanks to its internal oscillator and factory-calibrated coefficients, and it can be interfaced with virtually any microcontroller without programming internal registers. With a water-depth resolution of 2 mm (for the 30 bar variant; the 02BA offers altitude resolution of 13 cm at sea level) and a compact 3.3 × 3.3 × 2.75 mm package, the MS5837-02BA is suitable for diving computers, wearable altimeters, drones, and life-science research equipment.
