MC105 Catalytic Combustible Gas Sensor

The MC105 is a catalytic combustible gas sensor that operates on the catalytic combustion principle. Its sensing bridge consists of a detecting element and a compensating element; when combustible gases contact the detecting element, its resistance rises and the bridge output voltage changes in direct proportion to gas concentration. This MC105 methane sensor is suitable for detecting natural gas, LPG, coal gas, and alkanes, with a measuring range of 0–100% LEL. It requires a working voltage of 2.5V ± 0.1V and a working current of 150mA ± 10mA. Sensitivity is 20–50mV for 1% CH4 and 30–70mV for 1% C3H8, with linearity of ≤5% and a 90% response time of ≤10 seconds. The plastic-encapsulated element resists H2S poisoning and organosilicone contamination. As a catalytic gas sensor, it is widely used in combustible gas leak alarms, gas detectors, and concentration meters for industrial and residential safety applications.
