This compact device can easily create a remote controller for your computer. Without the need for any drivers, simply plug it into a USB port and start using the remote control. This remote also functions as a mouse and includes a power key that can turn Windows systems on or off. It directly integrates with programs like WinDVD, RealPlayer, Winamp, MediaPlayer, PowerDVD, IE, Word, PowerPoint, and other playback software.

The 37-Key Computer Remote Control operates effectively up to 18 meters and is compatible with various operating systems. It includes a USB cable and port for mouse functionality.

Equipped with a 37-Key Computer Remote Control with 4 Shortcut Keys, it offers versatile control options such as adjusting volume, changing pages, opening and closing applications, exiting programs, and more.

How to Use the 37-Key Computer Remote Control:

4 Operational Shortcut Keys

This remote control model features 4 buttons labeled A, B, C, and D. Each button can be programmed to launch up to 3 different applications simultaneously. For example, you can set button B to open Photoshop, or to launch video playback software, Notepad, and Yahoo Messenger all at once.

To assign a button, right-click on the program icon in Windows, select Properties at the bottom of the menu, and in the Shortcut Key field (third from the bottom), enter the letter or number corresponding to the remote button. Once entered, the field will automatically display CTRL+ALT+N (where N is your chosen key). Click Apply or OK to link the remote button to the selected program(s).

For example, if you want to open Firefox, right-click the Firefox shortcut icon, select Properties, enter the letter A in the Shortcut Key box (which will show as CTRL+ALT+A), and click OK. Now, pressing button A on the remote will launch Firefox on your computer.

Shortcut Key Assignments:

Button A:
Program 1: CTRL+ALT+A
Program 2: CTRL+ALT+1
Program 3: CTRL+ALT+F1

Button B:
Program 1: CTRL+ALT+B
Program 2: CTRL+ALT+2
Program 3: CTRL+ALT+F2

Button C:
Program 1: CTRL+ALT+C
Program 2: CTRL+ALT+3
Program 3: CTRL+ALT+F3

Button D:
Program 1: CTRL+ALT+D
Program 2: CTRL+ALT+4
Program 3: CTRL+ALT+F4

Notes:

  1. For the third program on each button, function keys (F1, F2, F3, etc.) should be used. However, this feature may not be supported on Windows 7 shortcut settings.

  2. Use only the number keys above the letters on the keyboard—not the NumLock keypad—for assigning numbers.

  3. The shortcut will only work if CTRL+ALT+ appears automatically before your chosen letter or number in the shortcut field.

Typing Letters and Numbers with the Remote

To type letters or numbers, first press and release the Numlock button (the bottom-left button on the remote). Then, use the combined number and letter keys on the remote.

For example, to type “1N,” press the TAB key (first key on the left in the number/letter section) three times quickly to type “1,” then press the right arrow key (third key from the left on the second row in the number/letter section) twice to type “N.”

This Remote control with mouse and shortcut keys, suitable for wireless computer control provides a flexible and efficient way to manage your computer remotely.
