Description: GY-86 10-DOF IMU Sensor Module [3V-5V] is a location detector with 10DOF that can detect triaxial acceleration, tri-axis gyroscope, three-axis magnetic field, and pressure (altitude) parameters for full flight controlling of the drones, and copters. This multi-sensor module integrates Gyroscope sensor, Accelerometer detector, compass sensor, and Pressure detector, based on three chips of MPU6050 (6 axes gyro/accel with Motion Processing Unit), HMC5883L (3-axis magnetometer), and MS5611(24-bit High precision altimeter). The MPU-60X0 series chips are small motion-tracking chips, that integrates a tri-axis gyroscope, tri-axis accelerometer, a Digital Motion Processor™ (DMP) and two sets of three 16bits-ADC for converting the tri-axis gyroscope and tri-axis accelerometer analog output to digital signals. Also, it can receive three external sensor signals from a compass via its dedicated I2C sensor bus, to achieve 9DOF data. (a complete 9-axis MotionFusion™ output). These chip series is so designed that can interface with several noninertial digital detectors such as pressure sensor trough the auxiliary I2C port. The motion tracking chip can develop phones and tablets into powerful 3D smart devices to utilize in health monitoring, sport, fitness monitoring, and similar location-based services applications.The HMC5883L chip is a low field magnetic sensor with internal self-test, offset eliminator, and strap drive circuits, that can measure both the direction and the magnitude of Earth’s magnetic fields, from milli-gauss to 8 gausses, and so it can be used as a compass sensor with high resolution and 1° to 2° compass heading accuracy. This chip can communicate with other board and application such as MPU-60X0 chip through the I2C serial bus. In this module, this chip produces 3 compass data for MPU-60X0 chip. This chip can be used in many applications such as Mobile Phones, laptops, Consumer Electronics, Auto Navigation Systems, and Personal Navigation Devices.The third sensor chip in this module is MS5611-01BA that is a high-resolution variometer sensor with an altitude resolution of 10 cm and SPI and I2C serial bus interface. This chip is designed based on leading MEMS technology by integrating a high linearity pressure detector and a 24 bit ∆Σ ADC with built-in factory calibrated coefficients. The MS5611-01BA output achieves the altitude parameters and is the last degree of freedom.This module has an internal regulator and logic converter to support logic level (3.3V ) or microcontrollers level (5.0V) and so can be supplied with 3V up to 5V DC. This 10DOF board produces digital outputs of Gyroscope, Accelerometer, Compass, variometer that can be programmed and can communicate with microcontroller and Arduino boards through the I2C interface.
