The EL-55 PIR Motion sensor is a wired passive infrared (PIR) motion detector engineered for intrusion detection in security and alarm systems. It operates from a 9V to 16V DC supply and draws 15 mA in standby with a 17 mA draw in alarm state, while its normally closed (N.C.) relay output—rated at 30V DC and 0.3A—interfaces directly with alarm control panels. The detector uses an imported dual-element pyroelectric infrared sensor paired with a precision parabolic Fresnel lens, and a digital microprocessor interprets the sensor signals to reduce false alarms. Bi-temperature compensation, automatic environment memory, and digital automatic pulse conditioning further stabilize performance across changing environmental conditions.

The unit is protected against ESD, EMI, and RFI, and its detection coverage reaches 8 to 10 meters horizontally and 3 meters vertically, with a horizontal detection angle of 110° and a vertical angle of 60°.
