CD4 ignition transformer

a device that creates an electric arc between the two ends of spark electrodes for combustion of fuel with high voltage is called a spark transformer. this transformer includes a magnetic core on which two windings are wound such that these two are insulated from each other and from the core. the primary winding is connected to the main power supply and the secondary winding is connected to the consumer circuit. this spark transformer is of the step-up type. the ignition transformer is primarily applied to the burner ignition system to achieve automatic ignition performance of the burner. the cd4 ignition transformer has four terminals, two of which are used for connecting the input voltage and two are used for receiving the output.
