Description:
AMS1117 Step Down Module is a small DC to DC step down voltage converter, which is based on AMS1117 regulator chip. This chip is a three-terminal regulators with low dropout voltage and a maximum 1A output current. This is specialized for low voltage works which the transient response and minimum input voltage are very important. The 2.85V version of this chip is developed to Active Terminators for SCSI bus projects. 
This module can be supplied with a 4.5V to 7V DC range (at least 1V higher than the nominal output voltage and up to a maximum of 12v input can be applied.), which is down to a fixed 3.3V voltage with maximum 800mA current. It can easily be connected to microcontroller through the ​​​​​​​ 3 pin connection. This regulator is necessary when you want to work on the 5V electronic prototypes, because this tiny board enables you to supply your boards and circuits from a wide range of input voltages, without anxiety. This adapter has an LED to show applying input voltage.
