AGP2401 Non-Contact Temperature Sensor

The AGP2401 Thermopile is a non-contact temperature sensor that measures surface temperature by detecting infrared radiation emitted from objects. As the surface temperature increases, the infrared energy emitted also rises. The AGP2401 Temperature Sensor is a thermopile and belongs to the family of non-contact sensors, meaning it can measure physical objects from a distance, even several meters away.

Like other thermopiles, the AGP2401 Thermopile Sensor is composed of multiple small thermocouples on a chip that absorb energy and generate an output signal. It is designed in a TO-46 package with dimensions of 1.1 x 1.1 mm and a sensitive area of 0.85 x 0.85 mm.

Thermopiles, including the AGP2401 Thermopile, are used in a wide range of applications, from industrial process monitoring to occupancy and motion detection, as well as medical temperature readings such as ear thermometers.
