Description: DC-DC LM2596 Step Down buck converter Module is a 5A step-down switching regulator with excellent line and load regulation. The LM2596 series of regulators are monolithic integrated circuits, ideally suited for easy and convenient design of a step-down switching regulator (buck converter). These modile is an adjustable output version. These regulators are designed to minimize the number of external components to simplify the power supply design. With the help of high switching frequency, this smps module is optimized to work with a small inductor. That module can be used as a post regulator for AC or DC adaptors and power supplies, battery charger or even a LED current source. Battery charging method:1. Determine the floating voltage and charging current of the rechargeable battery, it should be relative to the input/output voltage of this module.2. Adjust the voltage positioner to the desired voltage needed to charge the battery (e.g. 4.2V for a 3.7V Li-Ion Bat Cell). 3. Use the multimeter 10A current block to measure the output short-circuit current of the module and adjust the current potentiometer to make the output current reach the predetermined charging current value.4. Connect the battery and try to charge.
LED constant current driving method:1. Determine the working current and maximum working voltage of the LED you need to drive (refer to the datasheet or application note of the LED).2. Adjust the voltage positioner to the output voltage required for the LED. 3. Use the Multimeter 10A current block to measure the output short-circuit current, and adjust the current potentiometer to make the output current reach the predetermined LED working current.4.
