Before starting, the battery surface must be clean and a suitable nickel strip (about 0.1 to 0.15 mm) must be used. When working, place the tip of the pen at a distance of about 2 to 4 mm from the strip and weld with gentle pressure. Adjusting the pulse time is very important; if it is too short, the weld will be weak, and if it is too long, the battery may be damaged. It is also essential to observe safety precautions such as using thick cable, proper fuse and spacing between welds. Finally, it is better to practice on a damaged battery before the main work and avoid mistakes such as using counterfeit nickel, excessive pressure or direct connection to the battery.
