Description:
BTS7960 High Power H Bridge DC Motor Driver Module is a 43A high power, smart DC motor driver, which is based on two BTS7960 chipset and a 74HC244 isolator chip. The BTS7960 is a half bridge motor driver which is part of the NovalithICTM family. Because of supporting logic level inputs, this chip can easily interface to a microcontroller. It just requires one line of 6V up to 27V motor power supply. The BTN7960 chip has many capabilities, such as detection with current sense, slew rate adjustment, dead time generation, overtemperature protection (result in shutting down of both output stages), overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection (result in shutting down, to avoid uncontrolled motion), overcurrent protection and short circuit protection. The BTS 7960 is a valuable and compact protected high current PWM motor driver.
The BTS 7960 chipset can be combined with other BTS 7960 chipset to form an H-bridge and 3-phase drive configurations. So this module uses double BTS7960 H-bridge driver chipset, with a high power driving and braking effect and also has a 74HC244 chip for effectively isolating the microcontroller and the motor driver. The module produces a 24V operating Voltage and a maximum 43A continuous current and with PWM pulse from 0 up to 25 kHz combined with active freewheeling.
