L298N Dual H-Bridge DC Stepper Motor Driver Module 2-Channel 2A 5-35V

The L298N dual H-bridge motor driver module is a high-current, high-voltage board designed to control two DC motors independently or one bipolar two-phase stepper motor in robotics, automation, and educational projects. Built around the ST L298N dual full-bridge driver chip, the module accepts a motor supply voltage from 5V to 35V and delivers up to 2A of continuous current per channel, with a peak capability of 3A per channel and a total output power of up to 25W. The board includes an onboard 78M05 5V regulator that can supply logic power to a microcontroller when the motor supply is below 12V; for higher drive voltages, the regulator jumper must be removed and logic power supplied externally. Each channel has independent enable inputs for PWM speed control, and direction is set by logic-level signals. Freewheeling diodes protect the circuit against back-EMF generated during motor deceleration or stopping. The module measures 43mm × 43mm × 27mm and weighs approximately 30g, with screw terminals for secure motor and power connections.
