The MCP2515 CAN to SPI converter is an independent CAN controller that utilizes the specifications of CAN B 2.0. Using this chip, both standard and extended data can be transmitted and received. To filter out unwanted messages, the MCP2515 uses two masks and six acceptance filters, consequently reducing the overhead on the host MCU. This chip communicates with microcontrollers (MCUs) via a standard industrial SPI interface. Additionally, this module has a transmission speed of 1Mbps with the capability of message prioritization, making it suitable for real-time system design
