Triac is a high-speed solid-state device that has three terminals: Anode (A), Cathode (K) and Gate (G) and is used in high power switching circuits, electronic circuits and power. AC switching control circuits require a high pass current, and the BAT 100-800B power triac is a rectifier with a 100 amp withstand current and a voltage level of 800 volts.

The triac is activated by firing the gate base and can act as an open circuit diode or rectifier, but it should be noted that this 100 amp triac does not perform the amplification function.
