GORDAK 863 3-in-1 Rework Station – Hot Air, Soldering Iron, and IR Preheater

The GORDAK 863 is a three-in-one rework station that combines a hot air gun, a temperature-controlled soldering iron, and an infrared (IR) preheater in a single desktop unit. It is designed for electronics repair work that requires controlled, uniform heating—particularly mobile phone board repair, multi-layer PCB rework, and BGA component removal. Each of the three functions is controlled independently, with its own temperature setting and LED display, so the operator can manage preheating, hot air rework, and soldering without switching between separate tools.

The hot air section uses a brushless fan that delivers a soft, uniform airflow of up to 120 L/min with a maximum power consumption of 450W and a temperature range of 100°C to 500°C; the noise level is stated as <45 dB. The soldering iron operates from 24V AC with a 50W ceramic heating element, a ground potential of 2mV or less, and a ground impedance of <2Ω, making it suitable for ESD-sensitive components. The IR preheater provides 605W of far-infrared heating across a large work area (commonly 120mm × 120mm), with a temperature range of 100°C to 500°C, allowing the entire board to be brought to a uniform temperature before localized hot air or soldering work begins.

A practical feature is the hot air gun's automatic cooling and energy-saving function: after the handle is returned to its stand, the station continues blowing cool air until the heater reaches a safe temperature, then enters standby. The unit measures approximately 221mm × 251mm × 112mm and weighs around 4.3–5.0 kg depending on the configuration and accessories. It is a benchtop instrument intended for professional repair benches, service centers, and advanced DIY electronics work. The station does not include a built-in vacuum pickup or a microscope, which are separate tools in most rework setups.
