The RFID-125kHz-Coin is a circular proximity tag designed for short-range identification in access control, time and attendance, and asset-tracking systems. Operating at 125kHz — the low-frequency (LF) band known for its reliable performance around non-metallic materials — the tag is built around a TK4100/EM4100 compatible chip, which provides a 64-bit read-only unique identifier that is pre-programmed at the factory and cannot be altered. This read-only architecture is well suited to security and identification applications where data integrity is essential.
The 125kHz RFID coin tag is encapsulated in a PVC disc measuring 25mm in diameter with a thickness of approximately 1mm, giving it a compact, coin-like form factor that can be attached to key fobs, badges, tokens, and equipment housings. The waterproof and dustproof construction allows the tag to operate reliably in humid, dusty, and outdoor environments without degradation. As a passive device, it draws its operating power from the reader’s electromagnetic field and requires no battery or maintenance.
The read range is typically 3cm to 10cm, depending on the output power and antenna design of the reader. The tag operates across a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C, making it suitable for both indoor and protected outdoor installations. Typical applications include access control systems, employee attendance terminals, asset and inventory tracking, library book identification, pet and livestock tagging, and product authentication.
