Description:
100 PCS 1N5408100 PCS 1N5408 Rectifier Diode package contains 100 pieces of 1N5408100 In-line rectifier diode, which can pass up to 3A current (at TA = 75°C with no thermal runaway) with 1.2V at forwarding biased. Rectifier diode is like typical diodes, but The rectifier diodes are specifically used to convert AC power lines to a DC Power, which can perform it with a high current capability (range of some amper). Rectifier diode has a low-frequency response, so it can tolerate just temperate dynamic stresses.
The 1N5408 is a standard recovery semiconductor rectifier with two axial-leaded terminals, which its polarity or cathode terminal is specified with a color band. 
It has a low leakage, its maximum reverse current is about few uA, and can work with maximum repetitive reverse (peak repetitive reverse) voltage up to 1000V  same as DC reverse voltage (Rated VR) and maximum RMS voltage up to 700V.
