The 1602A-5V character LCD display module is a 16x2 dot-matrix screen capable of showing letters, numbers, and user-defined symbols across two lines of 16 characters each. Based on the industry-standard HD44780-compatible controller, this 1602 LCD display operates from a 5V DC supply and uses a 4-bit or 8-bit parallel interface for direct connection to microcontrollers such as Arduino, AVR, and PIC.
