A "Linear Solenoid" is an electromechanical component that converts electrical energy into a traction or thrust force or motion. A pneumatic valve, also known as an air control solenoid valve, is a valve that uses electromagnetic force to operate. When an electric current passes through an electric coil, a magnetic field is created and causes an iron metal rod to move. It is the basic process that opens the valve and works directly or indirectly on the air. The pneumatic solenoid valve can be used for electric doors or locks, opening and closing valves, moving different parts of robots and mechanisms, etc. A solenoid is actually an actuator that allows a relatively small signal to control a large device. It is also an interface between electronic controllers and pneumatic systems. The solenoid part itself includes coil, iron rod, spring, control valve and control channel. The main valve consists of inlet, outlet, diaphragm and diaphragm spring. When the solenoid is active, a very small flow of fluid always passes through the conduit and the control valve. In solenoid valves, rubber or metal seals are used to seal different places. A spring (diaphragm spring) is also used to open or hold the diaphragm when the valve is inactive.
