The crash sensor is a miniature snap-action switch, also trademarked and frequently known as a micro switch. It is an electric switch that is actuated by very little physical force. This switch is normally open mechanical limit switch, small size, easy installation and it is used with 3D printer motherboard, it is plug and play.
This great endstop solution provides you an easily mountable PCB for establishing home positions on the various axes of your 3D printer and CNC machine. The microswitch should be hit by a carriage on your axis, for example, to trigger a detection signal. This way your electronics can detect when an axis hits its home position.
