Description:
The MKS CD V1.0 expansion board is a great little interface board that uses the classic A4988 Stepper Driver format to allow you to use external drivers such as the powerful MKS TB6600 stepper motor driver.
MKS CD V1.0 unlocks new functionality to increase the power of your 3D printer, while having great protection features that isolate power between stepper drivers and control boards. High current safe means that a normal A4988 or similar driver is connected to the controller board and then connected to an external stepper driver via a 4-wire interface. This is especially useful for 3D printers that use 57/86 stepper motors, as these motors typically require high drive currents, and running high current drivers directly through the control board can certainly lead to costly and unexpected damage. .
The inputs of the 57/86 stepper driver are to separate the optical coupling, which is mainly to prevent interference, and each motor driver has 3 inputs.
The PUL pulse port controls the movement of the position or speed of the motor and the DIR interface controls the direction of the motor movement.
