Description:
The AMS1117 IC is a voltage regulator that provides various outputs with fixed voltage and adjustable output as well. Specifically, the AMS1117-1.2 is a low-output linear voltage regulator that outputs a constant 1.2V.
Unlike PNP type regulators where up to 10% of the output current is wasted as quiescent current, the quiescent current of the AMS1117 enters the load and increases efficiency. AMS1117 series regulators are in industry standard SOT-223 power packages.
