If you don't work with this soldering iron and leave it without touching a metal point, after 25 seconds, the LED will be off and the iron gets into sleep mode. Because of low power consumption and the protective tip cover, it has a long life tip. It heats up very fast and will be ready to work in less than 15 seconds, and also cools down in less than 30 seconds.
