WS2812 Full Color RGB LED Module [Neo Pixel] [8 Bit]
Description:
This is an eight bit board of WS2812 full color RGB LED module also known as Neo Pixel, which is a small chainable board with eight 50x50 sized WS2812 RGB LEDs, which is addressed and controlled by the On-LED WS2812 driver chip. Each LED module stick has a single data line, which a high accurately timing protocol is needed for sending data through it. Such accuracy can be performed just by an 8MHz microcontroller or faster such as AVR, Arduino, PIC, etc. This module receives the controlling data by its serial cascade interface, then decode and performs it. Its control chip shares a power supply with the LED. Its control circuit and RGB chip are integrated into a 5050 package component to make a full external control pixel. After receiving the signal by any pixel, an internal signal shaping circuit shapes the waveform, then immediately send it out, to prevent of accumulating of line waveform distortion.
Each LED pixel draws about 18mA constant current when it's emitting white. On the back of this board are solder pads to connect wires or breadboard pins. Also there are two holes for mounting this board on different surfaces.
It can be used in LED full-color luminous word string, LED full-color soft light strip hard light bar, LED guardrail tube, LED point light source, LED pixel screen, LED shaped screen, and so on.
