TOF laser ranging sensor module is a new generation Time-of-Flight (ToF) laser-ranging module housed in the smallest package on the market today, providing accurate distance measurement whatever the target reflectances.
TOF technology is revolutionizing the machine vision industry by providing 3D imaging using a low-cost CMOS pixel array together with an active modulated light source.
These TOF Laser Distance Sensor module have different capabilities in measuring. They can measure 5m, 10m, and 20m with an accuracy of 3cm ~ 10cm.
In TOF sensors, distance is measured for every pixel in a 2D addressable array, resulting in a depth map. A depth map is a collection of 3D points (each point also known as a voxel).
