The Teensy 3.1 is a complete USB-based microcontroller development system and is as versatile as it is powerful. A custom Teensy installer and bridge application will easily allow you to write sketches for the Teensy and load them on to the Teensy. All programming is done via the USB port just like the Arduino - no special programmer is needed.
Utilizing a 32 bit ARM Cortex microprocessor running at 72 MHz, and with a footprint of only 1.4 x 0.7", Teensy packs massive processing power into a small space. Multiple channels of Direct Memory Access, 12 bit digital/analog converter, an I2S digital audio interface, 4 separate interval timers, and a delay timer, all ensure that Teensy has what your project needs. All pins have interrupt capability, and it can provide a system voltage of 3.3V to other devices at up to 100mA. Though the Teensy runs at 3.3v logic levels, all of the digital input pins are 5v tolerant, meaning you can apply a 5v input without fear of damaging the Teensy.
This product can use the Arduino program editor, fool-style programming, one-click compilation + programming + running, which is very convenient. As long as you know a little C language, you can start programming, and you can easily write your own satisfaction using the built-in API functions.
