The Sense 3D Scanner V2  is the new version of the Sense scanner, marketed in 2013 by the American manufacturer 3D Systems. With its affordable price and easy handling, the 3D sense has been a great success with professional actors but also with makers. It is a portable wired 3D scanner offering compact dimensions of 12.9 x 17.8 x 3.3 cm.
Sense 2 is the first USB-powered handheld scanner to use the very latest short-range scanning technology from Intel, the RealSense SR300 3D camera. The RealSense technology allows a closer scan range and higher resolution than previous-generation devices. It is a full HD color function that collects and processes data in real-time and uses it to create a complete mesh.
It accelerates data collection by more than 60%. The 3D scanning technology of the Sense 2 enables a narrower scanning area and a higher resolution via HD color cameras and a highly sensitive infrared projector.
The Sense scanner is a lightweight and portable that fits in your laptop bag so you can capture scan data on-site and then further develop and finish your designs in the office. Now it is possible to give your woodwork, jewelry creations, and other craft projects a new dimension with 3D scanning technology. Sense 2 creates miniature versions of full-size objects that you can print in 3D for your self-designed, remote-controlled cars and planes.
