Description:
74HC595 8 Digit 7 segment Tube Module is an 8 digit 7 segments, 8-Bit shift register with output register module, which is based on 74HC595 chip. The 74HC595 chip is a high speed 8-BIT SHIFT REGISTER serial-in with parallel-out shift register that feeds an 8-bit D-type storage register made with silicon gate C2MOS technology. It has a high speed performance like equivalent LSTTL besides of keeping the low power dissipation of the CMOS technology.
This low power consumption module is a good choice for small boards and some microcontrollers with limited numbers of pins. This module not only can show the number characters, but also can show many alphabets and other characters, which is recognizable on 7 segments. Based on the digital principle of dynamic scanning, this module uses two 595 chips to drive the digital control tube, so it requires 3-way single-chip IO port.
